Aegean Blue is a slightly teal-ish steely blue; a blue lovers blue. This is a wonderful interpretation of Aegean Blue, my personal favorite.

Qiviut is the gold standard in luxury yarn; it's wonderful properties are legendary. Qiviut is exceptionally soft boasting a gorgeous delicate halo, it's light as a feather and exceedingly warm yet breathable. Blending in ulta-fine merino and silk reduces shedding, adds strength, body, memory and drape and doesn't diminish the soft halo of the qiviut and has the added benefit of lowering the price. It's important you wash your completed qivit project to fully appreciate it's soft delicate halo, read my Qiviut Care blog post for more information. I hope you have a chance to enjoy this wonderful fiber.

Tester's comments...

I knit the Haro Shawl by Sarah Pope using the Qiviut Yarn in gorgeous  Agean Blue colour way.  The Qiviut yarn has created a fabric that is so luxuriously soft, with perfect drapes and great stitch definition that creates beautiful lace stitches. This feather light shawl is very warm.  I have worn it outdoor at Niagara Falls in a windy winter day and I find this shawl has kept me so warm and cozy :) Love it! I also find this yarn to be strong as I experienced no breakage, nor splits while knitting the Haro Shawl.  I soaked the Haro Shawl for about 35 minutes with warm water and Eucalan, and the colour bleeds but not too much.  The fabric is covered with such a lovely soft halos after washing.  I am confident that all of you will enjoy this outstanding yarn as much as I do.
